SOCIETY AWARDS

The Society's commitment awards are given to members who have shown their commitment to performing in or being involved with the shows that we perform.

The Red Award is given to people who have performed or been involved in ten or more shows with Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Victoria

The Silver Award is given to people who have performed or been involved in 25 or more shows with Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Victoria

The Gold Award is given to people who have performed or been involved in 50 or more shows with Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Victoria

The Loose Canon Award is given to people who have performed or been involved in all 13 Gilbert and Sullivan operas, not includingThespis

Up until 2012 it has been the tradition to award these certificates at the AGM in the year the milestone was acheived. From 2012 the certificate is presented at the end of the run of the show in which the milestone was acheived, so that the commitment could be celebrated by those among whom the milestone was achieved. If circumstances do not permit that, the certificate is to be awarded at the next AGM. In every case, the those who received certificates during the year is noted in the minutes of the AGM.

Those who are current performers or past performers who believe they may have reached a milestone that would qualify them for any of the above certificates are invited to contact us via this online form. We will then make contact to work out a suitable way in which to present the certificate.
